Implementing the Latest Technologies from WWDC26

Last week I had the opportunity to spend a day at Apple HQ in Battersea Power Station for the “Implement the Latest Technologies from WWDC26” workshop.

During my session we explored several of the latest additions to Apple’s developer ecosystem, including the Foundation Models framework, Synamic Profiles, and new approaches to building more adaptive and intelligent experiences across Apple platforms. It was encouraging to see how much emphasis is being placed on making AI capabilities practical, private, and deeply integrated into the development experience.

For me, however, the most valuable part of the day wasn’t the presentations (there weren’t many!). It was the conversations. Discussing real production challenges with Apple engineers, developer relations specialists, and fellow developers provided insights that you simply don’t get from documentation or keynote sessions. Comparing approaches, debating trade-offs, and sharing lessons learned is often where the biggest breakthroughs happen.

As AI increasingly becomes part of every software stack, events like this are a reminder that successful products are built not just on new frameworks, but on thoughtful engineering, careful design, and strong developer communities.

Many thanks to the Apple team for hosting such an engaging workshop. I’m looking forward to experimenting further with these technologies and exploring how they can be applied to build more capable, human-centred intelligent applications.
